多達四成急性期的中風病人,會有不同程度的語言或吞嚥困難;少數嚴重中風的病人甚至會昏迷不醒;半數以上中風患者不能回到工作崗位;高達三成的患者會患上抑鬱症。患者必須要有堅強的意志,接受長期康復治療,病者的家人亦應加以鼓勵和協調。

In the acute stage, up to 40% of stroke patients experience varying degrees of speech or swallowing difficulties. Those suffering from severe strokes may even be comatosed3. More than half of stroke patients are unable to return to work, and up to 30% may suffer from depression. Stroke survivors must have a strong will to persevere with treatment and rehabilitation on the long road to recovery. Support and encouragement from their family is especially important during this period.

醫生 (Doctors)

為中風患者主導治療及復康計劃,監測中風風險因素以減低再中風的機會,同時向患者及其照顧者提供關於病情控制和前景方面等的建議。

Lead the treatment and rehabilitation plan, monitor risk factors to prevent stroke recurrence, and provide advice on the long-term plan and prognosis to stroke survivors and caregivers.

中風專科護士 (Stroke Nurses)

可協助中風患者保存身體及心理功能,提高獨立生活的能力,並向患者提供專業護理,包括常見的生理問題,如吞嚥困難、溝通困難、小便失禁、便秘以及壓瘡等等。

Provide physical and psychological support to stroke survivors, enabling them to regain the ability to live independently. Also provide expert recommendations on commonly encountered problems such as swallowing difficulties, challenges in communication, urinary incontinence, constipation, and pressure sores.

物理治療師 (Physiotherapists)

可幫助中風患者恢復各方面的身體功能,同時可指導患者及家人正確的護理及運動,預防及減低併發症。

Assist stroke survivors in restoring their physical functions. Can also educate patients and their family on proper care techniques and exercises to prevent complications from stroke.

職業治療師 (Occupational Therapists)

透過不同治療方案,讓中風患者在自我照顧、家居操作、工作及消閒生活等方面,獲得最高獨立能力。

Utilizing various therapeutic programs to help stroke survivors regain the ability to self-care, perform domestic tasks, relearn vocational skills, and enjoy leisure activities.

言語治療師 (Speech Therapists)

可協助改善中風患者的吞嚥、溝通及表達能力。

Assess and assist stroke survivors who have difficulty in swallowing, language, and communication.

臨床心理學家 (Clinical Psychologists)

為中風患者在心理及或情緒方面提供協助。

Offer assistance and counselling to stroke survivors with psychological and/or emotional problems.

營養師 (Dietitians)

針對患者風險因素而提供適合的飲食建議。

Provide recommendations on food and nutrition tailored to specific stroke risk factors.

社工 (Social Workers)

協助中風患者及其照顧者申請適合的社會和經濟援助,計劃居住安排,以及認識社區非政府組織和患者自助團體可提供的支援。

Assist stroke survivors and caregivers in attaining social and financial assistance, planning with housing arrangements, and connecting with community non-government organizations and patient self-help groups for support.
